Continental Tire Partners with Random Vandals Racing in World Racing League Competition

Fort Mill, S.C. – December 15, 2022.  Continental Tire is proud to announce a partnership with Random Vandals Racing, a BMW customer racing team based in Concord, North Carolina. The team will compete in 10 World Racing League (WRL) events across the nation beginning with NOLA Motorsports Park which kicks off the 2023 season on January 20-22.

Random Vandals Racing will enter two BMW M4 GT4s, one with primary sponsorship from Continental Tire. The vehicle will feature a livery of Continental’s iconic gold and black colors and will be driven by Mo Dadkhah, Michael Gilbert, and a third driver to be announced at later date. A second BMW M4 GT4 will have secondary sponsorship from Continental Tire.

WRL is an amateur series promoting and operating endurance races at road courses across the United States and is founded on the premise that racing should be simple, affordable, safe and fun. WRL is a professionally operated non-contact series where cars from all major road racing sanctions are eligible, including SCCA, NASA, the budget endurance series, and others.

Each WRL endurance event weekend sees racing take place on both Saturday and Sunday with almost every race at eight hours in length. The Daytona event, held June 9-10, will be a 14-hour race.

Random Vandals is thrilled to partner with Continental to run in the WRL Series,” said Paul Sparta, Team Principal for Random Vandals. WRL has been gaining momentum and its 8-hour races are a great showcase for the new Continental tires. The ExtremeContact Force is quick and has great wear, so we expect to bring home some great results. Testing begins immediately for us, and we look forward to working with Continental engineers to get the most out of the tires.”

As part of the collaboration, Random Vandals Racing will utilize two of Continental Tire’s latest performance tires, the ExtremeContact Force and the ExtremeContact Sport02.

The ExtremeContact Force is a 200 UTQG endurance racing built tire which Random Vandals will run in dry conditions. With the ExtremeContact Sport02 showing incredible performance in the wet, the team has opted to use it during wet-weather conditions.

We are excited to partner with Random Vandals on a full-season two-car effort in the World Racing League GTO class,” said Travis Roffler, Director of Marketing for Continental Tire. Random Vandals has shown they are a winning team and this will be a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the superior performance of our ExtremeContact Force and ExtremeContact Sport02 products.”

Random Vandals Racing, which also competes professionally in both IMSA and SRO, will begin the 2023 World Racing League season with a two-day test at NOLA Motorsports Park just prior to the season-opener.
