Random Vandals Racing scored a third-place finish in the first race of 2023
The opening World Racing League event took place at NOLA Motorsports Park which brought a mix of different track conditions as the weather turned from overcast, to light rain, and back and forth throughout the nine-hour race.
Random Vandals Racing, which entered the No. 82 Continental Tire sponsored BMW M4 GT4, ran the ExtremeContact Force throughout the entire nine hours and did not make any tire changes during the race. That meant that the ExtremeContact Force tire impressively provided the necessary grip for all of the race’s 252 laps. The No. 82 BMW M4 GT4 set a fast lap time of 1:52.44 seconds on the way to placing third.
“We learned a lot about the tire, the team, and the car,” said driver Mo Dadkhah. “Racing in mixed conditions is very difficult. Races that go from dry to wet and back to dry demands a lot out of the driver, team, car and the tire. We are excited that given the mixed conditions that the team was able to put together a podium finish in our first outing. It’s quite difficult to podium in GTO in the World Racing League so to podium our first time out was a great result and something we can continue to build on!
It was a great first outing for the Random Vandals Racing / Continental Tire partnership and we’re excited to see what the rest of the season holds!
